I'm from Oklahoma, got to see his guitar, they had it on display at the Oklahoma History Museum. He was really great guitarist. His dad played piano at a club in downtown Oklahoma City. T-Bone Walker used to stop by to see his dad and would practice with Charlie.

When listening to this,you can understand why Charlie and Monk hit it off so we'll.Both so modern and cool, particularly for the time period(40's)

Love the story about Charlie in the hospital as he was passing -- one of the last things he supposedly asked for was Weed and a hooker. Not sure if that is a true story, but almost better than Pastafarian Heaven - strippers and beer volcanoes !!!
