Back in 1986 I was just out of the Army. Discovered Cirith Ungol while stationed in West Germany. Picked up One Foot in Hell and the vinyl at least had a contact phone number. Called and left a message saying how great they were. Next night Rob Garven the drummer called me back and we talked for literally 3 hours about heavy metal. Seriously cool guy, great band

How would this genre be called? Epic Doom Metal?

Whoever animated this needs to make the hand in the foreground slooooowly raise the middle finger over the course of the song.

I came across this album in a small local record shop in Pittsburgh back in 1989 and bought it based on the artwork. I was an avid LOTR fan and had read the books- including The Silmarillion- at least a dozen times since I was 9 or 10, so I was familiar with Cirith Ungol in that sense. Took the record home, smoked a bowl, and played the whole thing a few times then called up my buddies. They came over, we smoked more bowls and listened to it for hours. Good times man.

I saw them in my home town of Ventura California where Cirith Ungol is from. When they did this gem, the roadies were carrying Tim in a coffin with eye holes in the lid. He opened up the lid and he was wearing a Kings crown.Pretty cool effect.

I work for a Lighting Company and one of the members of this band called me to ask some questions for some lights. He was a super rad dude. I wish I got his name. These guys are rad as hell.
