My boyfriend showed me this song, and he hyped it up so much and was like “this was my SHIT when I was younger, it’s SO FUCKING INCREDIBLE, you’re gonna LOVE it” and spoke about it like it was legendary. However, it kinda sounds like generic 2006-2009 (maybe 2011) emo stuff. Like, I totally would have rocked out to this and been like “yOu DOnT UNdErSTaNd mE, evEryOne At sCHoOL sUCKS yOuRe sOo cLOsEd MiNdED iM A PErSOn tOo” when I was 11 years old, in sixth grade. Don’t get me wrong, it is a good song, but it’s not like the band went down in history or was known as the greatest of the great. I guess it was just unnecessary hyped up and put on a podium it didn’t belong on for me, and I was a bit disappointed when it wasn’t that. Again, no hate, it’s a good song, but still.
