Great sound.  Although he is far from the first to prepare a piano, he definitely tries to explore the range of potential for musical sound more than say John Cage did.  By concentrating on expanding and modifying the already vast potential of the piano itself I think he has a great joy in hearing all those possibilities and combinations of possibilities.

How does God give you the ability to play a instrument? Anyone can play a instrument, just sit down and learn.

Guitar effects pedals, synthesizers, sustain pedal, splash cymbal on snare, for that matter SNARES on a drum, whammy bar, etc. What makes this any different? Maybe simply playing piano is not the gift, but playfulness and creativity to use the piano in a different way.

highly underdeveloped idea if you ask me. a cheap trick with little additional value.

I love it when a live version makes the album version seem crap.
