I was a sophomore or junior in undergrad when this came out. Absolute face-melter. They were head-and-shoulders above GnR and the rest of the hair metal bands of the late 80s from a pure talent perspective. I honestly thought then LC would inspire a new generation of rock bands that could song-write and play, but Grunge stopped all of that, sadly ... and then rock died.
