I hear the drums echoing tonight
But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
Shes coming in 12:30 flight
The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation
I stopped an old man along the way
Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say, hurry boy, its waiting there for you
Chorus:
Its gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
Theres nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do I bless the rains down in africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had
The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do whats right
Sure as kilimanjaro rises like olympus above the serengeti
I seek to cure whats deep inside, frightened of this thing that Ive become
Chorus
(instrumental break)
Hurry boy, shes waiting there for you
Its gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
Theres nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do I bless the rains down in africa, I bless the rains down in africa
I bless the rains down in africa, I bless the rains down in africa
I bless the rains down in africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had
Hi guys, here are some constructive comments (lolll)
IMO, the "out of tune space" effect is really disturbing.... :-S
I found the chorus break and vocals really sweet.
Production is nice too. Keep it up!
Wow look at this shit! I ended up with 'love is dead' after Lowry came to New Orleans a few years ago... loved em ever since, been dying to hear something new from them.. I guess this will have to do :)
so funny. it's been. . . i don't know how many years since we did this. this is the first time i looked at the comments. funny shit. i can appreciate the negative comments as well as the positive ones. only thing i can say is, this is how this band sounds doing this song, and i do love this song. and i appreciate the hate too. :) thanks for having a listen. xoxo
