One of the last performers on the last original taped Ed Sullivan Show March 28, 1971. After that all shows aired in taped reruns until June 6, 1971 which was from the show on February 7, 1971. Ed Sullivan Show had originally planned on doing new original show until after the 25th anniversary of the Toast Of Town premiere Sunday, June 20, 1948 on Sunday, June 24, 1973 which would be the last show instead of March 28, 1971 which happened to be the last one. Ed Sullivan did not know that the March 28, 1971 show taped would the last one until CBS cancelled the show of any new taped ones on March 30, 1971.

Remember this song as a kid listening to it on the radio. Loved it then and love it now. What a heartfelt artist!
