I have watched three videos thus far on this genius of a pianist. And for as much as I love jazz this man was a true icon. I am saddened that I never got the chance to see him perform at all. But the legacy of music and inspiration that he left behind is beyond any words that I can express. I am actually teary eyed because you can really feel what he is playing...sigh. I have to go out and buy his recorded works. There are so many jazz musicians that I admire , respect and adore. Michel Petrucciani R.I.P. In 1977 the great American trumpeter Clark Terry was touring in France and was introduced to Michel. Clark Terry could not believe what he was hearing and hired Michel and at the time he was only 15.
