When the sun rose this morning
I didn’t have my baby by my side
When the sun rose this morning
I didn’t have my baby by my side
I don’t know where she was
I know she’s out with some another guy
Don’t the sun look lonesome
Shading down behind the trees?
Don’t the sun look lonesome
Shading down behind the trees?
But don’t your house look lonesome
When your baby’s packed to leave
Blow wind, blow wind
Blow my baby back to me
Blow wind, blow wind
Blow my baby back to me
Well you know if I don’t soon find them
I will be in misery
Goodbye baby
That is all I have left to say
Goodbye baby
That is all I have left to say
But you have lost your good thing
Go ahead and have your own way
Muddy Waters a musical journey felt like I was sitting in the backseat going along for the ride muddy was on his game he knew how to drive a band. You couldn't do nothing but respect that man when he walked out on the stage. Willie big eyes my favorite Blues drummer of all time incredible. James Cotton open the show I'm thankful to have been there to see hear them I believe it was 1979 thank you so much for sharing this.
It is unbelivable how many GREAT harp players went through the Muddy Water's Band. It is a list of greats..from Little Walter,Paul Oscher,James Cotton, George Smith,Carey Bell, Jr Wells. I was lucky enough to see every one of them.Yes..an OLD blues fan.
When you start comparing harmonica players you are treading on dangerous ground. They all have their own individual sound which adds to the tapestry.Take a little something from all of them and then create your own sound If you can play but if not just appreciate their expertise.
Lucky me... I saw him three ( 3 ) times when he was with us. Once in a bar room in Houston, Texas ( with James Cotton) , once with Eric Clapton, and once with Stevie Ray Vaughn. Fokes, it just don't git any bluer or better, know what I mean..?
