I was only 11years old heck,in standard 4 ,listened to this on Sunday request session 2_4pm,man it was on often.

She's still singing! Wonderful voice and, of course, one of the original Blood Brothers cast

Another classic from this star studded talented lady who is still touring today. She is an absolute marvel.

Remember going down my Grandmas on a Saturday in the late 50s early 60s she always had on housewife's choice and this song was nearly always on along with her singing Sailor requested for all the overseas forces . Didn't have much in those days but loved being down my Grans ..

I first heard this record on the 7th August 1961. I can easily remember the date as it was the day before I started my long career on British Railways.

What memories. My dear late mother who was an excellent ballroom dancer taught me how to dance to this song which we both loved. We worked out a pretty nifty routine people used to admire. Father was a useless dancer so Mom and I often took to the floor.

I remember when it was sixpence for one record and one shilling for three records to be played on the jukebox and this was the one i allways looked for first.i later bought quite a few of her records

would sing this along with the record at 6 to mums danaette player I am now 46....memories
