Well, I don’t know where they come from but they sure do come
I hope they comin' for me
And I don’t know how they do it but they sure do it good
I hope they’re doin' it for free
They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
Well, the first time that I got it I was just ten years old
I got it from some kitty next door
An' I went to see the doctor and he gave me the cure
I think I got it some more
They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
I got a bad scratch fever
The cat scratch fever
It’s nothin' dangerous
I feel no pain
I’ve got the choo-choo train
You know you got it when you, you’re going insane
It makes a grown man cry, cry, oh won’t you make my bed
Well, I make the pussy purr with the stroke of my hand
They know they gettin' it from me
They know just where to go when they need their lovin' man
They know I’m doin' it for free
I give them cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
They got a bad scratch fever
The cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
About 15 years ago I was working Loss Prevention at Meijer in Columbus, Ohio. It is early in the morning and in the Sporting Goods department I see a tall, athletic looking white guy in hunting camo. He looks like Ted Nugent and I would have gone up to him and said, "Has anyone ever told you, that you look like Ted Nugent?" But I brain locked and could not think of the name so I went on. That evening, they are interviewing Ted Nugent on the news because he was in town at the Hunting and Fishing Expo, plugging his hunting videos. To this day, I wonder what Ted Nugent would have said if I went up to him and said he looked like Ted Nugent. haha
I remember when I first i heard this song full blast in the system he invested in his 18 wheeler. dad and I where passing El Paso, Tx when we where hauling citurs to Seattle, Washington at a gross weight of 80,000 pounds lol. It was for a bit only since he was teaching me not to be a truck driver, but to be better than him.
I remember being 14 yrs old in 77
riding down the road with my friend in his brothers dodge charger at midnight in Fairbanks Alaska.
it was a perfect picture of coolness and freedom growing up in the 70's.
