this album was magic

The British artists had their "riff rock" oriented music but the American artists had the genuine blues. I absolutely adore this guitar riff and the way they blend the bass with it. Good instrumentals, too. Sounds a bit like, who? Oh, yeah, the guitar solo sounds a bit like Jimmy Page.

the piano blues on this track is just delicious...

It's so cool how The Doors can take a song and give it their special sound and make it their own. From Whiskey Bar to Gloria, they made songs that weren't originals sound original. Such a great band.

Raw and nasty recording in the Doors workshop! Always loved their cover of this Delta blues classic.
