She’s come undun
She didn’t know what she was headed for
And when I found what she was headed for
It was too late
She’s come undun
She found a mountain that was far too high
And when she found out she couldn’t fly
It was too late
It’s too late
She’s gone too far
She’s lost the sun
She’s come undun
She wanted truth but all she got was lies
Came the time to realize
And it was too late
She’s come undun
She didn’t know what she was headed for
And when I found what she was headed for
Mama, it was too late
It’s too late
She’s gone too far
She’s lost the sun
She’s come undun
Too many mountains, and not enough stairs to climb
Too many churches and not enough truth
Too many people and not enough eyes to see
Too many lives to lead and not enough time
It’s too late
She’s gone too far
She’s lost the sun
She’s come undun
Doe-doe-doe-doe-doe doe un doe-doe-doe un doe-doe-doe
Doe doe-doe-doe-doe un doe-doe-doe doe-doe-doe
Doe doe-doe-doe doe doe-doe-doe doe doe
It’s too late
She’s gone too far
She’s lost the sun
She’s come undun
She didn’t know what she was headed for
And when I found what she was headed for
It was too late
She’s come undun
She found a mountain that was far too high
And when she found out she couldn’t fly
Mama, it was too late
It’s too late
She’s gone too far
She’s lost the sun
She’s come undun
No no-no-no-no-no no Doe doe doe-doe
"American Woman", "These Eyes" and now "Undun". I can't think of any other musical artist over the past fifty years that sound so different from song to song. The Guess Who? They rightfully earned their name.
A brilliant piece of music!! Cummings has one of the greatest sets of pipes in rock/pop history!! The jazz/bossa nova flavored guitar work and percussion is sublime!!
Ahh, yes, Gorgeous, sexy, soulful, bluesy, talented Burton Cummings and the phenomenal Guess Who!!!!! Another criminally underrated singer/ frontman, and band that has not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Smh
So, I got home from work tonight, and my dad was listening to this. I was hooked within just a few bars. Wow! Just wonderful!
Songs like these are proof that music of the 60s and 70s are timeless. I mean, I'm about a good twenty years younger than this song, and it still appeals to me.
