They played the Miani jai-lai fron-ton in 1974 (with Kool and the Gang, Redbone and Andy Kim). It was kind a self-inflicted 15th birthday present when I won four tickets from WFUN on a call-in game. I took some of my friends, and we had a blast! Kool and the Gang were the head-liners, but Hues Corporation was such a class lead-in that the KATG horn section backed HC for their entire set. The next day I went out and bought HC's album. Played the black right off the record.
