Friday nite sock hop at Jefferson jr. high, long beach cal..Had a crush on Virginia cisnerius..sp... Used to steal my buddy, bill taylors grandpas 46 buick, pick up chicks and go up to signal hill, and try to make out... I guess this is too much info but it sent me back in time for a few minutes.. I danced to this 45 recording at the "Sincerely Club", Brooklyn, NY, in 1955, about a year after the song came out. The guys in the club named the club after this song, which became their theme song. They played the song over and over. Were they sincere? Could a 13 year old girl tell? I sure couldn't. But it is still a totally great song!
