Hard to believe but the Yardbirds were vastly underrated. If they had played in any other era but the 60s they would have been recognized as the SUPER group they truly were.

Honestly, I much prefer all versions of this song that Rainbow covered, both the 1975 instrumental version and later versions with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. Axel Rudi Pell also did a great cover of the Rainbow cover, on "Holy Dio: A Tribute to Ronnie James Dio" released in 2000.
