Memories my dad used to play this.!!

I simply cannot understand how this - or any of the classics of this era - could get any thumbs down!?!?! And as of writing this comment there are THREE of them. I pity those lifeless souls.

from time to time to amuse myself I make my top 5 lists. This recording is definitely on my desert island list. So is Ralph Burns on my top 5 composer arranger list. Woody, Stan Getz, Terry Gibbs are on lists as well. Barry Ulanov (former editor of Metronome Magazine) when asked for his definition of cool jazz, responded "the Stan Getz solo on Early Autumn." I whole heartedly agree.

One of the most beautiful melodies written. I have about 10 versions of this and never tire of listening to them.

Love how every Instrument has their solo to play especially the xylophone
