Actually, not bad for a 1928 recording. The musicians? Well...they are in a universe of their own. This is not showboating...this is music that is emanating from their souls. There was virtually nothing like it before them. They were pioneers in every sense of the word and the fact that they now could record their efforts made it even more exciting for them. Do you have any clue what kind of technology they were using to capture this? Hard to believe. Armstrong is marvelous as always...he respected his horn like religious people respected their church.
